Indie Game Company

Studio MDHR Studio MDHR is a fairly new indie game developer with their founding being in October 2013 by two brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer who wanted to make a game that combined their love for retro arcade games and vintage cartoons which would eventually culminate into their main title Cuphead in 20 17. Studio MDHR is a company that was founded in Oakville Ontario and is reported to have around 20 employees at the moment with all of them working remotely. For their main game of Cuphead, it was reported that they used Unity engine to make the game with a very bare-bones budget of only what the brothers could bring together and a small amount of money they received from Xbox they were able to bring in an estimated 48 million off of Cuphead when it released. So far StudioMDHR has only worked with Netflix to produce a Cuphead show and other than that has been working on an expansion to Cuphead which was released in 2022 called The Delicious Last Course.               Square Enix is a company that I have mentioned quite a bit on this blog through my reviews of their games so it seems only fit to research more on just what kind of company Square Enix is. Square Enix is a video game production company that is based out of Japan with more than 4,500 employees in multiple different offices all over the world with those offices being located in Los Angeles, London, Paris, Hamburg, and their HQ in Tokyo as well as another office in Osaka. Since its inception in 1975 when it was originally known as Enix it would eventually merge with another game company Square Soft to become Square Enix which would quickly turn them into the huge company that they are today with its website reporting its net sale of 343.2 billion yen as of the fiscal year ended on March 31 of 2023. Lead Programer

       What exactly is a lead programmer, what is it they do, and what sort of responsibilities would that job title have? After doing some research into this topic this is what this blog post is planned to do. A lead programmer is something that is needed in any game that is getting made with their responsibilities usually being to supervise the game's overall programming team when building the game and implementing new features as well as helping with any programming problems that may come up during the development. Now being the lead programmer that would also mean that the responsibility of getting things out on time and making sure that everything works as intended will all fall to the lead programmer.
